Protecting Children and Youth Affected by Conflict through Local Actors in Borno State (PACT-LAB)


This project aims to enhance resilience and protection for conflict-affected children and youth through inclusive access to child protection (CP), education, and GBV services. It operates in Bama, Gwoza, and Monguno LGAs in Borno State with a strong emphasis on community systems, cultural sensitivity, and inclusion.

Objectives of the Project

  1. Improve access to child protection (CP), gender-based violence (GBV), and education services for vulnerable children, youth, and persons with disabilities.
  2. Strengthen community-based protection systems using culturally appropriate and inclusive approaches.
  3. Enhance awareness, trust, and access to services provided by local actors among children, youth, and caregivers in conflict-affected communities.

  1. Conflict-affected children, youth, and caregivers: — especially vulnerable groups such as children with disabilities, survivors of GBV, and those in need of psychosocial support — across Bama, Gwoza, and Monguno LGAs in Borno State.
